1991 g8 clutch removal
any easy way without buying the tool
any one know the outer thread size

Buy the tool the thread for the puller is extremely rare 14-1.0 so unless you can find a bolt that size and same thread pitch you can't make one

Agree with Spicy. You can’t beat or pry it off so add its cost into the price of a new clutch then make some friends when you lend it out to the needy.

I went to our local Fastenal and they checked on availability of a bolt with that size and thread. They said it would have to be special manufactured and would be more expensive than the puller.

The tool makes it easy, however, I've gotten them off with a rubber mallet, penetrating oil, and some patience.
