Default G22 starting

So my newly acquired g22 has an issue. When you step on the pedal, there’s a 3 to 4 second delay until the starter kicks over. Issue started after cart set for a couple weeks...and the weather got cold. My initial thought is maybe the battery is weak.....because it started when the outside temps went down. Once the starter spins...the motor starts right up.....just the lag time is odd. Any thoughts appreciated.

Check the stop switch under the gas pedal. It may be sticking closed causing the delay.

Default G22 starting

Sounds like a weak battery. The oil in the engine is also thicker when cold, making the engine harder to turn over.

Does the solenoid click right away?

Weak battery it was. Drew down to about 6v with the starter engaged. Thanks for the advise.
