New to me 92 marathon. A few ?'s
Hello everyone I have learned alot poking around here on the forums. I recently (yesterday) bought a 1992 marathon with a 4 stroke. The previous owner used it for the last 12 years to run around his small garden. It's a real cream puff. I will also tend to use it for yard work and running around my yard that has a steep hill.
Anyways I have a few questions. I realize aftermarket stuff is kind of hard to find for pre 94, but maybe some of you can help me out. 1. Where does a guy get a cowl that can take lights? I have looked and I haven't had alot of luck. 2. I'd love to see pics of how people cram stereos into these older carts. I looked, but I didn't find much. 3. I have found alot of people put a winch on the cart, but they all seemed to be lifted carts. Is there a sane / reasonable way to put a rear mounted winch on a marathon? Thanks in advance, --Klutch Nut |

i would start by checking with our site sponsors at the top of the page if they can't help you. then try lvssales.com that is where i purchased mine it cost $49.00 plus shipping and fits great. here is a picture of it installed with no headlights yet.

They sell a roof mount stereo system, one of the sponsor will carry it. Fabricate a mount in the bagwell for a winch mount it should not be hard. Show us some pictures of this cream puff.

Looks pretty good. That cowl looks like it is good condition. If it is you could sell it if you buy one to put lights in that location. You could make a dash out of laminate flooring and mount your stereo there.

The cowl is in great shape. How much do used ones go for? Also do any lights fit cowl for lights besides the ez-go ones which are 33 a piece?

Why not just go with a pair of aftermarket driving lamps?
Could easily be mounted of the cowl. Would be a lot cheaper then the new cowl, and factory lamp kit. Most of the aftermarket kits come with everything you need to wire them up. |
