Re: slow to takeoff
Dude it's time for a shorter belt... There are many different opinions out there b/w the 26 deg. clutch or a shorter belt. I have tried both and like the performance the belt gave me better. You may have some top end loss but the loss is fractional so it aint a big deal. My 2000 txt has a one inch shorter belt and will climb like a cat. The price b/w a new belt or a 28 deg. clutch is a seller to.. Cheapest way, the belt.. I'm happy with mine and it's all stock with 23 inch tires on 10's..

Re: slow to takeoff
I dealt with a local cart repair shop that dealt mostly with ez go's.. Call Mike at MMT and let him know what ya got and what you want and he should be able to find factory spec. lengths on your cart and get you shorter belt accordingly.. Good Luck!!

Re: slow to takeoff
I am always checking on Amazon for things I would never expect to find there. They have the 1 3/16" X 41" 1989-91 belt for about $35 including shipping.
It is sold by Franklin Sales. |

Did you Check the site sponsors page? I think you can find it for about the same price and help them out as well.
