Default Winter carting

Hey Folks,
Being from canada, the snow will fly soon and I was wondering:
- can I use my cart in the winter
- if yes, is there anything I need to do to make sure I won't damage it

I was going to install a piece of rubber underneath the cart to prevent any slow from coming up into the engine area and also to keep some of the heat, would this be recommended?

I am just thinking, with the lift kit and 23 inch wheels, I am sure I could have a blast in the snow, I was also planning on snow blowing a trail in the field behind the house and pulling my daughter in a sled.

So in resume... can golf carts be used in the winter?

Yep!

However, you may not want to put the rubber piece below the engine pan,
(air circulation may be critical to avoid over heating)

and if your going to pull a sled around, get some chains for your rear tires!
(your in Canada... why am I telling you that? )

have fun!

Yep, meet the "shanty shuttle"

Like Lockman said, dont cover the belly. I ran into a little trouble in deep snow when I got the clutch wet, once it dried out I was off again.

Straight up... from gassers to yellow sparkies... they run in snow with no special upfits! (but, chains are always helpful!)

OR...

you could do this....

Note to self...... get tire chains for this winter!

Don check around for some used garden tractor chains
and cut them down and re space the cross links.
Mine were free after the owner sold his old tractor.

CHECK FOR CLEARANCE INSIDE THE SIDEWALL FIRST!
