Default Electrical question

Forgive my ignorance. I have installed a new CPP big block engine. My 20 amp fuse on the solenoid keeps tripping.

Battery is grounded to cart
Key switch is grounded to cart

What else should I check?
Does solenoid need to be grounded?

Familiar with multimeter testing but stumped here.

Any help?

Default Re: Electrical question

Why is the key switch grounded? Do you mean just the mounting? The key switch terminals should be insulated from the ground???
