Switching out body of 91 EZGO Marathon
Hi guys,
I see online that there are numerous "custom bodies" (front and rear cowls etc...) for EZGO golf carts, but nearly all are 1994 and up. I believe I saw as I perused old posts on the forum that the Marathon is slightly smaller in several dimensions, but feel sure that it is possible to use a bit of "creative ingenuity" to adapt these newer fiberglass bodies. Does anyone have any experience with this? If it is simply not possible, I obviously want to know that. If it is possible, to what degree of "adaption" is required (i.e. does it require arch welding/cutting, or simply going to Lowe's and picking up a few bracket extensions...or something in the vast chasm in between)? Any and all feedback would be appreciated. |

Re: Switching out body of 91 EZGO Marathon
Its' not real complicated to make the newer bodies fit,as long as you have some basic fabrication skills. My Avatar pic is a 85' Marathon with a 2000 TXT-Body.Remove the Cowl/Hood panel,Dash, and Tray. Then fit the new body, you will see where you need to trim/modify to fit. Then build some new supports.Hope this helps.
