s/g clubcar to ez go
I bought a s/g that I was told fits clubcar and ezgo,I wired it up like my old s/g it works but when I put the meter to it it pegs the meter,I do have the meter set correctly and checked with another meter and it's the same thing.I have 12.5 volts at idle but when I rev. it up it pegs out.Is there an extra ground or a different way to hook up? I have the electrical diagram for my ez-go but it doesn't help. Thanks

Re: s/g clubcar to ez go
are you checking voltage at the generator or the battery?

Re: s/g clubcar to ez go
That sounds to me like a bad voltage regulator. A generator puts out full juice until the regulator kicks it back. That is assuming you have the voltage regulator hooked up correctly and there are no broken/frayed wires between it and the generator
