That would probably work. Matt---a friend of mine did this for a quick fix. He took the top plate off the spring, put the spring on the bottom of the axle, took the top plate and put it under the spring and used longer bolts to go from the top plate through the bottom plate. That saves you from cutting the top plate off and having to re-weld it to the bottom of the axle. Then to get back to the same lift height put blocks under the back of the springs the same distance you moved the springs down in front. The only problem you might have is the shocks will not be long enough. You will probably have to remount the shocks using square tubing the same thickness of your back blocks on the bottom shock mounts. And yes, as StoveBolt said, you will have to re-adjust your toe-in. I hope that makes sense.

You all have gave me some great ideas, think I'm gonna keep it simple. I believe I will put about a 1 inch block just for clearance. Thanks guy for all of you guys quick response. I'll update when I get it done.
