'98 Cart beeps constantly and "jerks"
Hi all - while driving up a fairly steep hill slowly my cart started to beep then roll slowly back, then go forward, still beeping (as if it were in reverse). When it stopped and I tried to accelerate, all it would do was jerk as of batteries were dying. Does this in reverse as well.
Trojan batteries are 6 months old and show a 36 volt status, each reading 6 volts - fully charged. Tried removing negative cable for 30 seconds while in "Tow" mode but no change when reconnected. Not sure where to go from here. Thoughts on the culprit are appreciated. Thanks! (this is a 1998 Freedom A1598 Textron Cart) |

Just learned that the cart will go in reverse only whether set to forward or reverse when pedal is held down all the way. Beeping stops in this mode. I have it up on jack stands. I don't see any wires disconnected. Any thoughts are appreciated. Would like to avoid calling the guy $$$$. Thanks!

Tested micros on the F/R switch OK. Solenoid has voltage in and out (37.5).
Just updating and seeking ideas. Thx Dan |
