Install an on board charger and fab up a cord that recoils onto a reel, like one of those airhose reels. Just a thought. I know someone here has done it but can't remember who. It was a pretty slick setup.

Standard transformer style chargers are not cheap either. ScottyB sells them for $285 plus ship.

For on-board, I like Quick Charge brand, compact and water resistant too. This distributor has the best prices.

Be kind of neat if the charger had something like a hobbs on it to so you could tell what the cycle time was. The info might come in handy for something.
