G1 only runs full choke
I have an 84 g1 cart that ran on half choke great but when the choke was off it would run but not at full throttle or up hills took carb off to clean it and now cart will only run if I force the choke closed or put my hand over the carb where the air filter hooks in....not sure what the compression is yet but open to ideas or suggestions

Common symptom of bad crank seals. Check compression.

Sorry took so long been on vacation then couldn't find compression gauge .... Checked compression today registers at 125 so beginning to think may b carb or reed valve

But with that compression it still should be running without being on full choke would a bad reed valve or a bad carb or carb joint cause this??
