Unhappy solenoid issue?

installed new batteries in my cart last Friday. went from 8 6v batteries to 6 8V batteries. hooked up everything and it ran awesome. ran the batteries down and let it charge over night. wife took it for a ride and made it 2 blocks and it stopped.

the solenoid is not clicking. checked it with a voltmeter and it nothing is coming up when pushing the accelerator. the reverse buzzer is still coming on.

the batteries have plenty of juice.

is it safe to say that the solenoid is toast ? should I check anything else?

36v->48v club car ds, solid state, alltrax sr400.

Could be many things and others will chime in. However, I want to tell you I strongly encourage you to read the battery break in procedures and download the battery state of charge chart on this site. You stated you ran the batteries down and let it charge overnight. Not a good idea for new batteries to be ran down at all. Hate to see you ruin your big investment so I wanted to caution you. The link below has the break in procedure and if you scroll down a little you'll see the chart I referred to above.
