Maybe I’m just overthinking it, but I just flip it up and lift it out of the way if I need under there for more than just flipping the run/tow switch.

I put the tow run switch on the dash on mine as I tow it quite often. Good thing, cause the seat can and will freeze down for like a month or 2 unless I bring it in the shop overnight.
