Help for D S Club Car
Hi there all Y'all. I need some advice/help from the Club Car brain trust. I am stuck with helping neighbor lady with her 2002 D S Club Car the numbers are AQ 0231-1738821. She bought it at a yard sale for $1,000.00 ran good for about 6 months and then at a birthday party for granddaughter it got kidnapped by some wild kid and driven till it absolutely would not go and then he and a couple more kids pushed it about a mile or so back home with the switch in run position. The lady had someone install 6 new 8 volt batteries which are installed in the right sequence as per visual inspection of them. Pack voltage before charging was 51.5 after charge and having sat 24 hrs is 53.9. The cart runs about a fast walk for maybe 50 ft then goes to a slow crawl. It acts like it is in a limp home mode. I did TahoeDawg's speed sensor test and it passed it. I am not real familiar with this system don't really want the job, but she needs the cart running and doesn't have a lot of money to spend on it. I am wondering if they fried the controller pushing it that far. Would appreciate any advice for this one. This will probably be a charity job.

Re: Help for D S Club Car
Did the kids get in trouble for their destruction? Perhaps there are parents that could contribute to the repair of the cart?

Re: Help for D S Club Car
The boy was living with the lady and her husband as a foster care child and they finally sent him back because he got into so much trouble.

I guess no one wants to be bothered with this request? Thanks anyway.

Re: Help for D S Club Car
I think people are "bothered", it's just a case of someone seeing it who has something to offer. I have experience with that system, so cannot offer any help.

Did she put the batteries in after this happened?
I'm not very familiar with that controller so I will defer to others. |

Re: Help for D S Club Car
They pushed it a mile with the run switch on?? Well, they were dedicated to getting the thing home,I'll give them that. I would say the controller is a good place to start. Is that a regen cart?
