Default Re: Tomberlin non lighted dash board fix

I have a 2010 E-Merge. I emailed Tomberlin and asked if it should be lighted. They just said no and didn't provide any further info.

I purchased two of the small aftermarket led lights at PepBoys and connected them to the accesories circuit. The LED lights each have a tiny wire. I had to drill a very small hole for each wire to run through. I used double sided tape to adhere them just above the switches. The LED are not very bright but just enough so I can see the switches at night.

As far as why the switches internal lights do not work??? I wonder if they are regular bulbs that drain more energy than Tomberlin feels is acceptable.

i have an 09. I light the switches by taking them out as to access the rear. There are stakes in the back to light them up. There are lamps in the switches. I wired them to the cig lighter. When you turn on the key they light up. Why tomberlin didnt do this ill never know. Others on this site have preformed the same mod. 10 minutes and a couple of bucks in parts and your ready.....
