1989 Metal rattle when under load
My 1989 Columbia Par Car runs well for a cart I picked up cheap. I have a lot of hills in my area and notice when the cart gets warmed up and I climb a steep hill I get a metal rattle coming from the rear of the cart. Of course, I'm driving it so it's hard to pinpoint where it's coming from. Does anyone happen to know where I should start to look?

Tough one. Does this happen when you are turning? When motor mounts wear out the primary clutch can rotate into the secondary thus creating some noise.

I second looking at the motor mounts.When they get old they allow the primary and secondary clutches to bump into each other under a load. Another area to look is if all the mounting points on the exhaust system are secure.
