Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
Another question: When the Tow switch is put into Tow position, should the solenoid click/activate then?
I am getting the audible click of the solenoid just by moving the tow switch from Tow to normal operation, and back. Since the solenoid is making the clicking sound at Tow, and then again at normal operation, wouldn't that indicate the Tow switch is working, and not the issue? |

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
The tow switch shuts down power to the controller so it's completely dead and doesn't drain the batteries during storage

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
Pin 3 of the control has full battery voltage (48V) with the accelerator at rest.
Should be "Verify zero volts on pin 3 of the control with no throttle." At full throttle, Pin 3 should read full 48V and it reads zero volts. "Verify battery volts on pin 3 of the control at full throttle." Please tell me I'm seeing this correctly. As you look at this wiring harness, #1 is on the bottom right. |

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
The pictures above are not loading as I see them on my PC. My thumb is the bottom of the picture. Hence the bottom right pin should be #1. Correct?

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
I would say use the wire color Red/Black stripe to verify pin #3 if there's not numbers on the plug

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
I hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well.
I am back at trying to troubleshoot this problem. I have purchased a Service Manual specific to this cart to aid in solving any and all problems. So, I will let you know what I find, when I get to a stopping point. |

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
According to this manual, the Throttle Position Sensor ohms test reading are supposed to be This:
From Wire terminals 5 to 6 ( Blue to Black ) the ohms reading should be 5K ohms at any position. The actual reading is 24.1 ohms with the test meter set at 200K From wire terminals 6 to 7 ( Black to Orange ) the reading should be 0-150 ohms at rest, gradually increasing to 5K ohms as the pedal is depressed. The actual readings are 32.8 ohms at rest with zero change as I depress the pedal. This manual says the Throttle Sensor is faulty. What say you? |

Re: Troubleshooting A Ghost
If the meter is set at 200k scale then a display of 24.1 would indicate 24,100 ohms. If you're looking for 5k ohms you should use the 10k or 20k scale on the meter, if present. The throttle sensor would still be out of range though.
