Default G22 and G29 motor difference

I put a G29 motor on a G22E and the spline fits very loosely around the input shaft. What’s the difference between these motors? The motor I got is a Hitachi DM430-06A, and I noticed that the original motor was DM430-06.

How can I find the right motor? I’m looking for a stock motor. Triangular speed sensor plug.

Thanks,
Luke

I know of no difference besides tach sensor plug. Ive worked at a Yamaha dealer since '07.

The center spline fits very loosely on my rear axle for the G22. My old armature for the busted motor has a tighter fit. When driving the cart, I can hear knocking from the motor rotating before it “hits” the input shaft.

The sensor plug seems to be the same from the G22 to the G29 “Drive”

So CG, you can confirm that you’ve seen Drive motors work on a G22? And I shouldn’t worry about the loose fit?

Well, if YDRE input shaft splines were bigger, ScottyB wouldn't be able to sell commonly available motors to fit YDRE. Yes, I would be more concerned with your input shaft. Doesn't G22 have a "grey triangle plug", And Ydre have a slightly different "white plug".

I have a G29 (Drive) and a G22 here and the speed sensor plug is exactly the same on them. The Regen, roll away brake, and everything else works, but the fit is real loose on the input shaft.
