I think you need to replace that red cable from the solenoid to controller.
In you pic with the blue arrows the terminals don't look good.
If they develop poor connections in those crimps you can have a voltage drop.
Voltage will look good with no load and drop under current demand.
May not be it but you do need some cable upgrade.

Thanks - I will order new cables now. I replaced the red one with an extra cable I had but didn't make a difference. Something wrong with the controller as its not putting a ground to the solenoid. I spoke with Ron at Alltrax tech support and he had me go through some tests while on the phone. One of the pins was bent on the controller. I bent it back as instructed, plugged in harness and didn't have any power. I pushed the harness into the controller and the solenoid clicked for the first time. Now nothing else works and I have multiple errors on the software monitor but the solenoid clicked!

Well this is an interesting find. Seems like there is some bad connections in the main plug, which could be the cause of all of the problems. Check all of the pins and also inspect the plug itself for misaligned pins and/or dirt.

Yes-I tested all the ports using a page from the yamaha repair manual that identifies each pin number, posted by someone here. I'm trying to find a new harness online but am having no luck finding one.
