Running Rough At Top End
New owner of 2014 Precedent 6 seater.
6" lift, 23" tires. New spark plug and filters. Starts fast , runs good. Tops out at 25MPH. Runs good til my foot goes to the floor. At very top end it starts running a little rough and sounds like it's slightly missing. If I let off pedal and let it slow and step on pedal again, it will backfire. Is there a governor? Could it be exceeding governed speed. I know about less than nothing when it comes to gas buggies. |

Re: Running Rough At Top End
Sounds like its maybe hitting the rev limiter, loading up on fuel because the rev limiter kills spark, and then backfiring from the excess fuel.
Try slowing it down a bit and see if that helps |

Re: Running Rough At Top End
Thanks, CP.
How do I adjust? Is that done on throttle cable or governor cable? I see lots of how to speed up threads, but no slow down. |
