Default Wiring????

Hello, got problem. I have a 99 ds 48 volt cart. I took the batteries off a couple of weeks ago and put new ones on today. Hooked everything up correct an when voltage the pack I'm reading 49 v. As soon as I hook up the motor and speed control leads, the voltage drops to nothing on the pack. Cart will not move and the back up buzzer is very very faint and as soon as I touch the peddle, the buzzer will stop. Thoughts????

The battery cables appear to be wrong on last battery.
On edit the battery is turned different. The cable ends look like they are in bad need of replacement. This could be the problem. The batteries also need to be charged.

You either have a defective battery or a bad connection.

Without the cart hooked up to the batteries, I get 49 V on the pack itself that's from the negative and the positive on the beginning and ending batteries. As soon as I hook up the controller lead and the motor lead to the positive and the negative, the voltage drops to almost 0. I will replace all new battery cables and post back what happens. Thanks
