Default DCX400 correctly installed via LED display but motor doesn't respond

JohnnieB, I have the exact same set up as you - motor, solenoid, and batteries.

Except I have crown batteries running 48v and had the XCT500 until today because I was disappointed with the top speed compared to my DCX400.

So, I re-installed my DCX400, LED blinks 4 times and I have a solid green light.

However, the cart does not move. Any thoughts on this sir?

Thank you!

Does the solenoid click?

If so, you have an open in the Armature circuit, or an open in the Field circuit, or the ITS isn't talking to the controller. (Or a bad controller)

What size tires are you running and what was the top speed with the XCT500 vs the DCX400?

I went from a DCX500 to an XCT400 and was disappointed in the top speed also, but after installing the ES7651 field map and connecting the RPM sensor on the D&D motor to the XCT, my top speed is about the same as it was with the DCX.

At 48V you may have the capability of over-revving the D&D motor with the DCX controller. (Eric says the max is 6500RPM while Vic says it is 6000RPM, and can I spin my motor upwards of 7000RPM on level ground with a 42V battery pack.) It depends on tire height since taller tires take more torque to turn and I'm running tiny (17") tires, so my motor revs higher than it would with stock (18") or taller tires.

My plan is to go to 48V with the next battery change and have the XCT controller limit the motor to 6500RPM, which is 26.5 MPH with my tire height. If my theory is correct, very few of the roads I usually drive on have hills steep enough to slow my cart below 25 MPH while a few of them take it down to 20-22 MPH at 42V.
