IQ is a drive system. There are a few controls available and each one has different adjustments. THe answer would be very different for Curtis than Alltrax or Madjax

If it has the factory controller in it, a high speed magnet in the motor will remove the regen feature.

Related question...

What does the term Regen really refer to and its it misleading?

Does the cart actually regenerate anything when its "engine braking" that we refer to as Regen? Is it regenerating the batteries? Is Regen a misnomer?

Regenerative motor braking. It's design is to generate power with the motor and put power back into the battery pack. It's not much of a feature really. The power it puts back into the system is a very small percentage. People who disable it always ask me if they're gonna notice a difference in run time, and none of them do.
