Also you will show lower speeds if your cart just can't make top rpm due to lack of power or amp delivery or motor maxing out.

If you measure the tire height, you will find it different than what the side wall says. Mine says 20.5 on the side wall, but I measure 19". That works out closer to the GPS speed. Does anyone else have the same difference.?

I didn't measure mine but I bet they grow if I puff them up - I like the soft knobbies around the ranch and I know it cuts into my top speed but, who cares?

To calibrate my speedometer, I put masking tape on my garage floor and on the tire and rolled it exactly one revolution using a square to make sure the tire was at the same position. I then measured how far it moved. With my 18 inch tires it was 53.25 inches. That is close enough for my speedometer. I calculated my motor RPM for 25MPH and set that as my max in the Alltrax. My GPS and my speedometer both max at 25MPH as they should. Doesn't take long to get there either. On level ground, it's running about 70 Amps at that speed. (about 4500 RPM with my 9:1 Gears)
(18 * pi) = 56.55 so my tire diameter is effectively under 18 inches. (more like 17) Tires had 22 psi in them which is what I run.
