Default Front Seat Repair

Dear group !
I am new with golf carts. I have a 2005 club precedent that I just bought and the front seat is really bad. I see a lot of glue on the bottom black board and on the cushion and I don't know how two put these two pieces together again.

Has anybody run into this problem before? is this something that I can fix myself? I bought a cover on eBay but I think I need to put the cushion and the black board together before install the cover.

I am posting a pictures so everybody can have a better idea.

Thank you all !

Pretty sure it just glued down with contact adhesive... I'd wait till you have the new cover in hand but remove the old glue from the plastic base with some emery cloth and apply fresh rubber contact adhesive being sure to apply to both parts and follow directions...

You have two options. Buy a new front seat cushion and use an appoxy or glue to secure it to the black seat structure. Or you can do the same with your current cushion. You can slip cover it or actually replace with new vynil. If doing new vynil, you will need to secure the foam cushion to the black seat structure, as stretching the vynil will shift the foam unless it's secured.

Why are you doing this? Was the cushion worn? Was it coming off but still in decent shape?

Hello

Thank you all for your answer. I end up buying a new seat on ebay. It came today and it looks nice. Its plywood on the bottom and the price was not bad. just had to remove both arm rest and install on the new one that came with the holes.

Thanks again.

pfshares,
I am looking for a new seat or cushion for mine. Can you share where you found it, and what you paid? Thanks!
