99 ds 48 volt tries to go backwards
I gave this cart to my father in law to use when I was done with it. He just gave it back because he was done with it. It was working fine so I washed it to get it ready to sell and after it was washed I drove it a 1/2 mile or so to dry it off and just before I parked it it died. It will try to go backwards whether it is in forward or reverse. It goes maybe 2 feet very jerky then stops. You have to turn it to tow mode, then back to run and turn the key on, then it tries to backup a time or 2, then nothing. I just checked the batteries and they are fine, checked and cleaned the FNR toggle switch and no help. Any ideas?

Dry everything out and if you are lucky it will start working again.

Turns out it was a frayed battery cable that just snapped mostly loose, had nothing to do with washing it at all! But thanks for the suggestions anyway, it gave me somewhere to start.
