The video shows the upright mounting to the crossbar that Shane is saying isn't there. they may have drilled holes in the armrest instead of using the crossbar, and just drilled them too low.

I don't think the issue is the height of the holes, the uprights are just spread too far apart, making them have a lower reach than designed.

You will likely need to improvise due to the front seats mounting different than oem.

The cross bar is missing Shane. Is this the model that was discontinued?

The struts/uprights still measure 38.5" so I'm not seeing how the crossbar missing would affect the roof slant?

I agree with Sergio, the wider mounting point is costing you some height. But I still say the location of the holes are low as well.

I've done similar installs and used the top hole in the armrest for the lower hole of the strut. Then drill a higher hole in the armrest to match the upper hole in the strut. Yes it leaves an empty hole, but lines up the roof height quite nicely.
