Cleaning the armature or brushes on a G19
Does anyone know if you can clean the brushes/commucitator on a G19
motor without taking it apart? I bought a spray can of industrial motor cleaner it made to spray on communicator while motor is running. |

Re: Cleaning the armature or brushes on a G19
The real question is why do want to do this? If your having a motor issue your going to want to check on the brushes while you have it off...

Re: Cleaning the armature or brushes on a G19
Before retirement I worked in a large industrial manufacturing plant and remember maintenance guys spraying the motor brushes & using a plastic stick with abrasive on the end to clean motors while running, they claim this would bring the motors efficiency back?
