Default WorkHorse ID Help Needed

I am picking up a 2004 Ezgo tomorrow, it appears to be a WorkHorse with the extended wheelbase and factory plastic dump bed. It doesn't have any badges on it.

My question: How do I know if this cart is really a WorkHorse? Serial number?

If it looks like mine which is a 2004 then its a workhorse. Mine is the MPT 1200. Ezgo also made the MPT 800 . If you raise the dump body there should be a serial number stamped on top of frame , passenger side. An ezgo dealer could tell you exactly what it is . The rear body on the workhorse is also metal.

800 is a short wheelbase. 1000 and 1200 are extended. Look on the rail right behind the seat bottom as well as top of the frame rail above the right rear tire

It does look just like yours, except it doesn't have a lift on it. I can't tell on yours, but this one does not have any headlights.

I'll be picking it up today, so I'll post up some pics and look for the ID tag etc.

Thanks for the replies

If it has the ST front end I would be surprised if it didn’t have headlights but if it doesn’t it doesn’t. The one in my avatar started life as a refresher cart complete with the stainless cooler on the back. Wrapped body and a dump bed later, viola!!

Well it's a Jacobsen, but man it looks just like a TXT with le long wheelbase and dump bed. The dump bed is steel, no hydraulic cylinder, just manual, but it does have bolt holes in the bed for a cylinder and some holes in the frame for a bracket. Serial number is 84024 0023 on the green one.

The other one is the orange one. It's in a little rougher shape, but still together. It's the all steel body.

I know this is an EZGO section, but these are made by EZGO, right?

Green one is based on an Ezgo so parts should be the same. Looking at the front suspension and steering it is 2001+ so should have the 2 cylinder Robbins. Orange one looks like an older Marathon

Both made by and same as ezgo, the green one would be same as a workhorse 1200. Didn't think they used that cowl on the later ones, but it does have the later steering. The diamond plate one is cool, does it have the 2 cyl robbins?

edit: beat me to it kg, thinking the orange one is same as a ezgo gxt-800 maybe early 90s
