CP, your rep is officially dead.

450 bucks for an igniter. Time for me to find some parts and get back to sourcing an alternative I think.

He spoke well of the MCI so give him some slack

Country Cat has one for $377.99 with free shipping

I think I got one that I could be talked out of for a little cheaper

At my age I need to be selling things instead of buying.
Might be a sale coming soon

I bought an old GXT-804D with the 295 robbin two weeks ago. Actually not a bad cart. Seems like the parts off the regular Marathon are the same.

I actually bought two. One for parts .

Let me go look in my shop for that spare MCI ignitor. Its somewhere in my stash
I can't seem to throw anything away

Looks like that can be repaired. Do you have a good auto machine shop near you ? If so let them do it so no more damage is done unless you are up for the repair.

Good deal. The boss should let you slide on this one. Tig it up and get her back going. Post the results.
Did you check to see if the seller has the ignitor and wiring harness ?

I really must try to source an MCI engine. I want to see if there is any reason why the pre MCI head cannot be retrofitted to the MCI block. Maybe its the oil feed? maybe it just plain dont fit. Without one i cannot try it but it would be an interesting exercise to boost the HP like I do with the pre MCI engines LOL.

Donations to Cartmaster, United Kingdom please!

Unfortunately, he does not have the ignitor. He trashed the cart

Here you go Cartmaster . Oiling system much different on these two engines. Heads won't interchange.
Final answer
CP241 , you can see how the MCI camshaft gets oil on both ends in the pictures.
