Default Re: Supercharger on 350 with 295 head?

I have a 2008 TXT with a 09 350 MCI engine and I used the 295 head off my orginal 295 MCI engine. It has more start up pep and runs stronger now. I use high octane gas with a couple of small caps of NOS high octane booster per tank of gas to help it along. With 22"tires and 8.1 gears it moves along well.
Gov' is screwed in about 1/3rd the way and we hit 28 to 30mph.

I know that to get more power you can install a 295 head on 350, get the MSD ingition, etc. However, I read on one of the posts about a 350 with 295 rebulild that while the Fast Fred supercharger is designed for the low compression 350 if it was installed on a 295/350 it would have to run on racing gas or alchohol. Could you even mount a supercharger on an engine with compression that high? I heard that the 295 head mod generates high compression.
I seen "supercharger" and lost my mind a little. there is a supercharger that will work on a 350cc? Great, now I need another cart to put my 350 back into..lol

There's a builder in Havasu that made superchargers that bolt on the stock, older style 350 Robin engine. Fast Fred has them. The kit is the carb, intake, supercharger and MSD ignition. All the hardware is included. It's probably $2,000 or so. Oh, the valves and springs are in there too. The blower runs off the starter generator, with a modified pulley. It's cool.
I have all of the parts, minus the blower. The blower would be another 1200, I asked
Fred is a good guy to deal with. He's helped me out a lot.

What clutch is on that engine? Where did the plug wires come from? Is it dependable with the supercharger?

I talked to him for a while on the phone and he said that it works out great!! He is getting around 16hp with the install. I believe that is the clutch that is on the E-Z-GO ST 480. I also believe that he uses MSD ignitions.

I found a couple brand new clutches for a '96, drive & driven I'll assume they'll be ok & I have a brand new 295cc head... now all I need is the right Fast Fred Website.. I seen every other site so far and still can't find one that deals with superchargers.
