Default Re: Yamaha G9 Gas Steering Question

Thanks everyone for all of your help, Got the cart running good. Cleaned the carb really good with a file tip cleaner. And threw a little silicone in the loose air box..

Also got the head lights hooked up good today..

But i noticed that sometimes while im riding when i stop to open a gate and get back on and push gas nothing happens until i open engine and spin the main clutch. then its fine what could this be??

A dead poll in the starter, or worn out brushes. But a dirty elect. connection or at least loose, could also be the culprit.

Maybe even a loose starter belt.

Don't run anything off stock wiring, use a relay if you need to use stock wiring. Also don't ground to the frame like a car it is not ground. Run your own ground for anything to the battery. If you can't then you have to put a ground battery to frame. I did because my cheap lights only ground on the mount bolt they have no wire.

There is only one wire that goes to key, then pedal switch, then to the ignition and starter solenoid. It makes all that stuff hot once key and pedal are on. There are 10A fuses in the factory wiring, I'll guess someone put larger or shorted them out.

I use a lighted switch for the lights, as I don't always turn the key off anyway. It is run off the battery.
