gaz EZGO slower than electric
will a gas EZGO actually out run an electric on flat ground. or is it just because they have bigger engines. Electric motors usually have weigh more torque per horsepower. now we are talking all stock plain 16VDC TXT compared to a low end gasser.

Re: gaz EZGO slower than electric
I've run my 1988 Marathon 2pg Gasser (stock engine, 22" tires) against a Club Car and Yamaha electrics, and made both look foolish. The CC seemed to keep up a bit for the first few yards, but that's it ... I assume if you spent the $ on motor, controller, etc you could make an electric do some damage, but you'll always be hauling around a couple of extra passengers worth of battery weight, etc
