Default pds torque problem

About my cart it is a 2000 txt pds cart. I do not have a lift and the batteries are dec 2009 and all have tested good. The problem that I am having is my cart will not push up on to my trailer with a 2" lip and will not make it up hills without the flinstone assist (foot power). I have talking to a BU tech and so far he had me buy a new controler and after install same problems. Then I repalced the its controller no results. This is why I have come to the best enthusiest site out there for you knowledge isted of someone just trying to sell parts.

Any help is appreciated
Jason

Can I ask what controller you purchased?

My PDS has a 400 amp Alltrax and it has alot of torque, my cart has a 5" lift kit with 20" tires and the added weight of a rear seat.

I did fry my controller last week and I'm waiting on a new one to arrive. I bought mine 2 years ago (12/12/10) but it actually was manufactured in '06 so it was 4 years old instead of the 2 I thought.

A few more things the guys are going to more than likely ask you.

What size battery cables do you have?
Are you running the same cables to the controller and motor?
Heavy Duty Solenoid?
Have you check the batteries to make sure you don't have a bad one that is pulling the pack down?

Load testing the batteries has been proven not to be correct all the times. Do a hydrometer reading of all battery cells. This is more accurate.

If you want to hook up a voltmeter to your pack go for a drive and load the cart. See what your voltage drops down too.

Whats your pack voltage after full charge?
Are you running 4ga cables thru out?

I just bought a stock controller and the cables are 6 guage. The batteries get between 38-40 volts for a full charge. I didn't figure I needed all the upgraded cables and solinoids since my cart is stock. I can get about nine holes in before it gets to the point of really having to assist on hills. When I get home and test the voltage on the batteries it is at 36 volts.

Likely you have a battery problem with one or more of the batteries.

Sounds like a battery issue if all you can get through is 9 holes of golf without assisting by way of flint stones. I would definitely use a hydrometer and check all cells.

k I replaced all my batteries it is a little better on take off but still when I am trying to pull up in the trailer it stalls out. It gets up to a point and stops does not roll backwards has sort of a humming sound from the backend until it finally releasesand catches again. Does this mean I need a new motor (hopefully not).
