Welcome Bud! I know of 2 way's, a simple push button switch mounted into the brake pedal (like some early Ezgo guy's did) so you just push the button as your aplying the brake. The second is a spring actuated switch, but you will need some kind of "delay/relay timer " to turn the brake lites off after you have locked the parking brake, they useually turn off after 15 or so seconds.

Bud, heres what I did on my G8. I wired it so there is no current to the switch with the key off. This way if you use the parking brake, the brake lights are off. Its a 1950 chevy pick-up switch.

The bracket that it is bolted to, is slotted, about a 1/4" so the switch can be adjusted forward and backward. I did this so when I put new brake shoes on, I think, it may have to be readjusted. Found another picture.
I shortened the length of the lever a bit as well.

Mike, if you can get some more pic's and then kind of detail out your wiring diagram and installation I'll 'stick' it in this section. Great work!! If you decide to do this, pm me when your done and we'll put it up top.
