Only 1 way that can happen is you have a short right there..... are you sure the red and the green wires are connected to the micro switch?

Cart on blocks. Key on, direction toggle in forward, check voltage at peddle box micro wires red and green. one should be 36v positive

Check the yellow wire at the solenoid = 36v positive

I don't know where you are getting your short? The blue wire gets 36v negative from the controller when the peddle micro switch connects but that is where you have a short?

I think you could disconnect the yellow and blue wires from the solenoid activation poles and connect a meter there. Replace the peddle micro and depress the peddle, the meter should read pack voltage. If the micro did not blow.... if the micro survived, do a continuity test on the solenoid small posts. It may have an internal short?

Did you do any work around the solenoid? If so, could you have installed the diode between the small post of solenoid backwards?

I hook up the new pedal switch. The green wire had 36 volts red wire had nothing. Looking down at the floor where the micro switch is hooked up. I hooked the green wire to the top connector of the switch and the red underneath. I turned the key on and put the lever to forward and hit the pedal and the nothing. I checked voltage on the forward micro switch and I got 36 volts on the left side, the right side I got no voltage. I took the switch off and it did not click. I check for continuity, and didn't get anything.

The cart is a NON-DCS if that helps.

Sounds like a bad Forward micro but beware the micros pop at the slightest short.... they are like a low amp fuse.

disconnect the solenoid activation wires and check them as I suggested. you have a short somewhere? ... hopefully it is not in the controller?

I hooked the green wire to the top connector of the switch and the red underneath, Is this right? Does it matter? Green is Hot Red is nothing. I also, have a question on the part number I looked in my books at the Micro Switches, and Red Hawk has the one that looks like mine but, it's has three terminals. The discription says for 65+(Non DCS)Roller arm style lever with Three terminals. For use with F&R switch. OEM# EZ 10606G1.

And Nivel has one in there book, and it is part#795 it says For G&E 1965-up non DCS
OEM#10606-G2The picture that shows next to the part
number doesn't look like the one I need. It doesn't have the white strip around the micro switch. I was just asking what you think.

I think you are looking at the same switch there ... on the three terminals you will not use the center terminal.
