Thank you "PGROVES" for the manufacturing date information. I wonder if maybe the rear axle assembly was swapped for some reason long ago ? I will probably try to find a 4-lug assembly for the main reason of getting back to individual hub-mounted brake drums and getting away from the motor-mounted single brake assembly.
Thanks "RUSTY1" for the information also. I knew this thing was pretty old. I was in the 10th grade at the time of its creation. I have restored several old cars over the years so this will be a fun project for sure. I am surprised the cart overall is in pretty good shape for it's age. No rusted out places and no body damage. Even the rubber trim is in pretty good shape. I found it on Craigslist for $200 so hopefully it will be a good investment when finished. I plan to use it as a video production cart. It will have camera mounts at various locations and will have a detachable camera boom arm. Thanks again for the information, Mike Pruitt |
