Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
Bad idea. Just out a piece of duct tape over the hole to quiet it down.

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
I guess you could just destroy the buzzer just enough to stop the noise but not enough to lose the connection.

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
Yeah, I asked the same question. Never got around to doing it yet. Short answer, yes, you can disconnect it. The problem is that the buzzer is also the diagnostics for the PDS carts. A certain number of beeps tells you what issue you are having (I think it lists it on the controller). Most on here will tell you to stuff duct tape over it to make it a lot quieter. You could also always run a switch to it to switch it on and off.

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
Well it can be dangerous if you leave your cart in reverse and hop in to take of and punch it, you could go smashing into something behind you.

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
That would be the same as disconnecting it which Colt said was a bad idea.

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
Can it be done? Of course it can. Is it a smart/safe idea to do so? HELL no it's not.... How would you feel if you left the cart in reverse and someone hopped on it to move it, slammed their foot to the floor and ran over your 2 year old because they didn't hear the reverse buzzer so assumed it was in forward?
I don't think anyone on this site will advise you to actually disable the buzzer on a permanent basis. At most you may get advise like hook a toggle in line so you can disable the buzzer while in the woods, but the most common response will be to stuff the hole with cotton or put tape over it..... |

Re: unplugging reverse buzzer
as long as it does not hurt anything on the cart....sounds like i will be ok..i get what your saying about the kids and all...but heck,my six year old drives it around the yard!!i just wanted to make sure that unplugging it would not hurt it in any way..i always have who ever drives it turn key off, take it out and put it in neutral..
