Default Ezgo electric not working

I have a older style EZGo with 6 batteries. I can not get it to work. I have had it for years. Just recently the circuit breaker pops when I plug it in for charging. I took the charger to a shop and they tested it and said it works fine. We replaced all the batteries about two years ago. The batteries are showing they have power. I did notice that on two of the batteries it is a little "raised up" under the terminal. Not only does the cart not run or move but the back up buzzer, the lights will not work. I am not sure what else to try?

Do you have a toggle switch on top of the controller box? I am thinking the reed switch but popping the breaker with your charger is a little curious. What is your pack voltage?

I do not think it is the charger that is popping the breaker. I had that tested at a local shop and it is working fine. The guy charged his ezgo with it so I think the charger is ok. I am going to change out the GFI plug just in case it is the outlet. I am not sure where a toggle switch is except for the one that says "TOW MAINTANCE and RUN" where is the control box?

That tow switch is the one I was curious about, you have DCS cart. Just out of curiosity have you tried a different plug on a different circuit?

I have not picked up the charger yet from the shop. As soon as I get it back i will plug it into a new outlet. Does it need to be in the tow or the run position? BTW Thanks for taking to time to help me with this.

Ok I just got back from looking at this golf cart. I tested the batteries and it looks like there are two batteries not working correctly. I am not that familiar with the electric golf car, but I was told that would cause the charger not to operate at all. Do I need to change these two batteries? Is there a fuse panel on these things?

If you are going to replace the batteries it is better to replace them as a pack and not as individuals. Replacing only a couple of batteries will cause the battery pack to be unbalanced and you will end up shortening the life of the new ones.
