Lowest voltage that cart will run on
I got my smoking switch problem taken care of and I have votage to the A1 post on the motor. the batteries haven't been charged since dinosaurs walked but when I checked the pack it was at 35 volts. I have it charging now and will chect it in the morning to see what I have but the curious bone in me( that gets me in trouble) wonders what the low voltage for movement is.
Thanks for your help before ScottyB. Turned out to be the micro switch and the solenoid. CA |

Re: Lowest voltage that cart will run on
Well according to Scotty it's not a good idea to run it below 50% so get that bad boy all juiced up and get an SOC meter and keep an eye on it. It will prolong the life of your pack drastically.

Re: Lowest voltage that cart will run on
I was thinking more in terms of smoking the controller with a low voltage situation... but yes, 50% rule on all battery draw down is a good idea

Re: Lowest voltage that cart will run on
Just to answer the question you have raised (although I agree that you should not run it at this voltage), the lowest operation voltage of a cart is 32.5 volts. After that the controller should shut down due to undervoltage.
Just curious though, I just read another post of yours in which you made it sound like you have a resistor cart? |
