Default Re: oil pump

The hose on the top of the oil tank should go to the rear end, it is just an air vent line. Trans oil is checked by unscrewing the check plug on the side of the transmission. 17mm headed bolt IIRC. Oil level should be within 1/2" of the hole to level with the hole. Use 90W gear oil to top it up, or drain it out and refill with synthetic gear oil. It only takes a quart and will give you more power, especially in cold weather, due to less drag.
