Re: 2 cycle oil
Any good AIR-COOLED 2-cycle oil is good, like snowmobile oil.
Article on oil selection: http://www.ultralighthomepage.com/OIL/oil.html Plug gap .024-.028" Fuel/oil ratio has been discussed quite a bit here, do a search and read about it, a lot of opinions on what is "right". My $.02: 40:1 as used by chainsaws and weedwhackers is good, but smokes and smells. They are also operated at constant full throttle and under much heavier loads than what your buggy engine will experience. 85:1 has been mentioned here and in other forums as appropriate. Read up on this topic and make your own decision. |
