No Reverse

Now it only goes in Reverse and not forward.

At least your motor is good

Start getting smart on controllers now...I'm not an expert, but it's looking like that's your problem

One of life's lessons learned the costly way. When I took my controller out I wasn't even working on cabling, I was taking some measurements above the motor. The blade of the tape measurer fell and came in contact between the A2 & F2 terminals on the motor. I lost forward but still had reverse, now the posts on my motor have rubber boots over them. Like I say it hurts at first, but if you upgrade the pain goes away the first time you drive it.

DB, Do you remember where you got your rubber boots? That's a great idea and I would like to do the same before I have an accident like that. I already blew up two headlamps and a meter by mistake

I got them at our local West Marine store, they are national and do have a website if you don't have one nearby.

Batteries are 2009...is buldging at the ends normal? They are all doing it....Thanks
