We load test with a special testers which simulate the average drive loads. Not the same as CCA loads for starting batteries... but if you have a large carbon pile load tester you can hit it with 350-450 amp load for 30 seconds and if it does not drop more than a volt she is probably still alive ........ These are easier to test with good SG or refractometer
