rev limiter
i have a yamaha g22 that i would like to make rev higher. any thoughts?

 Sprid your on a roll this morning. I was thinking the same thing. Anything over 4500 rpms is just an expensive rebuild waiting to happen. Remember these carts were designed to do 12 mph on a golf course. Mine has a tourque spring, machined sheave, HD belt and speed spring on the governor and it does 25 mph on flat ground at 4500 rpms. And even with that I try not to run it constantly at 4500. Bypassing the governor will get you higher rpms BUT you will be rebuilding the motor not long afterwards. |

thanks guys! now...is there anything special to do to the govener?
is there any other mods,air filter, exhaust, that can be done to get a little more power?? mine is a 6 seater and it would be nice to get a little more power with out going nuts on the motor. |
