Re: another charging problem
mystery solved! On the back of the receptical the is a clear plactic bubble that has a piece of solder that protects the black wire. I think what happened is when I disconnected the black wire from the receptical, I accidently broke that solder (fuse, or whatever you call it) when I unscewed the bolt. I'm not sure if I'm expaining it right but it is now charging. I"ll take a picture and post it to better show what happened.
I'd like to thank everyone for there input. I really appreciate eveyone help. |

Re: another charging problem
I think forbruce mentioned it but I thought he was talking about the fuse on the gray wire in the yellow fuse holder. I think I broke the fuse by over tighting the nut securing the black wire to the fuse holder.
Thanks again for your help! |

Re: another charging problem
you had better be replacing the fuse and not just bi-passing it....

Re: another charging problem
Price of fuse is about $15-20 online . . . just make sure you get the right one . . there is one for Powerdrive charger models and a different one for PD2/PD3 charger models . . . two different part numbers . .

don't worry about the voltage of 12 volts verses 48..just be concerned with the amp rating. the charger puts out 10- to 15 amps ( not to high so as not to cook the battery while charging ) . so a link at 30amps gives you double the inrush current while still giving your batteries protection against the charger shorting them out. |

Re: another charging problem
I got aa replacement fuse from a dealership. I didn't verify the part # but he knew my year and model so I assumed he gave me the right one. It fit fine and everything works so I think I'm good. I'm on to the next problem.....breakes grabbing when the cart heat up.
