If you properly break-in, maintain, and store your batteries, you won't need to spend money on tricks and smokey deals.

Here is my 2 cents, and I'm not on either side. A friend of mine bought a used EZ GO up in North Ga. The batts would not take a charge, so he's a pretty smart guy and thrifty. so he made his own desulphanator. I think the batts were over 3 yrs old, one ended up being bad and he had to replace it. He said it took about a month to bring the batts back to life. When they wouldn't charge at the beginning, he was trying to charge them individualy. This was over a year ago and those same 5 batts are working good.
