ez go foward, ez nogo reverse!
oh how i love ezgos! i have a 01 that goes foward but doesnt go reverse, it will beep, the solinoid will engage, thats it!
i also kow i have 1 battery acting stupid, all others are passing a load test with no issues. let me have it boys! if not im calling scotty! |

If it is a series cart, it could be the F/R switch.
If it is a PDS, it could be the controller. Figure out which one you've got before you call Scotty. |

yes johnie, i should have told you this...its a series! and im thinking either a a fwd reverse switch contact issue, or b the battery is bad and only sending the 30 volts to the maotor, and not exciting it to turn it!

The series controller uses the same pathways to power F&R so your problem is likely in the F&R switch. Start troubleshooting with the MS switches. Then the rotary contacts.

so are there repalcement parts for this or just a new switch? or is there a good used one out there?

The F/R switch assembly is a high usage component and yours is probably the original, which means it's got about 11 years of wear and tear on it.
