Default my 2005 EZGO electric quit w/o warning

I'm new at this. I've charged batteries, no help. the forward/ reverse control on the seat seems to be functioning in that the warning beeper turns on in reverse. i'm checking batteries and found the pos.post in the 6Th battery was corroded and the metal ring connector mostly eaten away.I'll replace that when stores are open tomorrow but i didn't think that was enough to cause it to stop running. My wife was driving and stepped on accelorator and said it felt like something snapped and it quit running. i've moved linkage from below and nothing is obvious, but i can't see where it connects with anything.

Corroded cable and wire ends can look like they are making connection when they really are not.
Grab each cable& wire end, give a little pull and tug and see if anything comes off, if it does that was likely your problem connection.

Measure cable and replace. Most automotive stores carry pre-made cables of varying length

The pre made cables at an auto store doesn't have enough strand count to properly supply electricity to your components. Check the sponsors for proper cable kits. Or if you have the skills, buy welding cable, at least 4 gauge, along with appropriate ends and make them yourself.

things are looking up. I was going thru the starting procedures, listening for the solenoid switch and i had just finished recharging again, when it happened. I was in forward and as the brake came off it moved. I took it out and ran it around the block a few times, and it ran fine. there was one hesitation while I was backing up, so i'm not convinced yet. I'm going to check the batteries individually for a dead cell, and I will check the solenoid switch out asap. I want to thank you all for your time and interest, and let you know what happens.

The only way to look at that automotive cable is to cut it in 2 and count the strands.... Auto is 12v 20amps golf carts are 36v 200 amps

The copper strand count on high quality GC cables is 400-600 strands
